On the morning of April 3, the on-site groundbreaking mobilization meeting for the Shandong Rongxin Pure Oxygen Circulating Fluidized Bed Gasification Coupled with Fly Ash Melting Gasification Project, fully contracted and constructed by CAS Hefei Coal Gasification Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “ZHGAS”), was successfully held at the Rongxin Group’s Production Area A in the Chemical Industry Park, Zoucheng City. This marks the official commencement of construction.

The project includes the construction of two 70,000 Nm³/h pure oxygen circulating fluidized bed gasifiers, with the produced syngas supplied to downstream units for ethanol production. Additionally, a 290 t/d fly ash resource utilization unit will be built, using pure oxygen fly ash melting gasification technology to produce syngas. This enables stepwise utilization of coal resources, with dry syngas output from fly ash expected to reach 16,000 Nm³/h. Notably, this is ZHGAS’s first pure oxygen circulating fluidized bed gasification project and its first pure oxygen fly ash melting gasification project. Pure oxygen gasification greatly enhances gasification intensity, accelerates effective reactions, and improves coal feedstock conversion and steam reforming rates—making it especially suitable for producing feed gas for alcohol-based chemical products and hydrogen extraction.

At the meeting, the leader of Shandong Rongxin Group outlined the overall project requirements: to control quality, safety, and schedule as the main priorities, ensuring orderly progress; to establish a project safety supervision and assurance system following the principle of “safety first, prevention foremost, and comprehensive management”; to strictly control engineering quality, placing it as the top priority; and to adhere strictly to the contract requirements for construction schedule.

The ZHGAS project leader reported on project boundary definitions, current progress in design and procurement, subcontractor installation planning and site entry, and measures to guarantee safety, quality, and schedule targets. He also expressed gratitude to Shandong Rongxin Group for their long-standing trust and support, affirming that ZHGAS will fully commit to project construction based on their friendly cooperation to date.
